Wood River
The Wood is a true spring creek surrounded by private ranches and protected wetlands. This 10 mile float is known for its scenery, with wildlife from river otters to osprey and the backdrop of the rim of crater lake. Stalk trophy brown and rainbow trout in a combination of boat fishing and wading the banks. The wood can offer great dry fly fishing opportunities. Like many of the waters in the Klamath basin, the Wood is a technical fishery and is best recommended for experts, but beginners who are eager to learn and challenge themselves on spring creek fishing are highly recommended to experience this float.
